These people are so uneducated they don’t even know that’s a female iguana.

Seaquest was shocking to say the least. The facility was filthy, feces and debris littered the floor, cages, enclosures and many are improperly set up and not beneficial to animals. The areas were also poorly ventilated, it was incredibly humid, hot, and foul smelling. Animals are dying in these conditions and it is unsafe for workers. The parrot out front is severely traumatized and displays abuse characteristics. Most disturbing of all was the treatment of the animals. Many of the fish tanks were overcrowded and several had dead fish. Iguanas are not being taken care of properly. The enclosures for many of the species were noticably too small, and excessively filthy. The chickens didn't even have a proper space, only a raised open platform for guests to interact with them. In this area there wasn't a single employee present to ensure the safety of the guests or animals. Most of the animals there were lethargic and seemingly depressed and sick. Stay clear of Seaquest. It's disgusting and blatant animal abuse. The manager even warned me about their animal abuse before touring the facility and it didn’t take my psychology degree to realize whoever she reported to was some kind of Stockholm situation. Apparently I asked too many questions about the husbandry of the reptiles. Improper lighting, water and absolutely no offerings of food anywhere. Animals can’t survive on whether or not people want to buy food tokens of warm, old and yellowing, unhealthy and improper food in dispenser cap cups. These are lives, not entertainment.
