The little snorkel thing didn’t come with my tank? It’s just the filter
Still way too strong for my fish. Gonna have to try putting sponge over it. Angry pets at home would sell a set where the filter pump is clearly too strong for the tank

This filter is crap absolute rubbish…had it a month and past two weeks it seems to b working but no bubbles at all coming out!! Buy a new filter when you buy this set up!!!!

And it's the worst i've ever used.
Probably defective because it sounded like a drill, tried to fix for 2 hours.
Luckily Pets at home refunded 50%.

Can I use this without the snorkel tube? To make it quieter?
Just bought my tank yesterday and it was cloudy but now I see that you put the tube above the water will it clear and make the water look cleaner

my pump doesn't seem to be that powerful. intermittent. If i fully submerge it it doesn't work.
Can the filter flow be too strong? I have a 10 litre tank and the filter pump seems to strong as the fish (variable platyfish) seem to struggle against the current it generates. I'll find out the lph on the pump.

I had the pirate pets at home set up and that pump is really only good for a couple of fish, any more and you'll be cleaning the pump filter every day

I got one of these second hand, it is filled with sponge only, is that enough or does it need something else ( that gravel type stuff), and if yes can I just put it in together with the sponge?

This is the exact tank and filter I have, all working fine so far (touch wood) wondering if anyone knows where I can get replacement filter foam/pads from? It's marked as a Q112 Aquarium Pump but a search on that isn't bringing up much.
are those tanks glass or plastic?
I got the 24l one a while ago, it works really well although the black nozzle is coming coming out vertically on mine. It is a little bit load but am okay with that 🙂

Can you please show how to put on the snorkel. I have the starter tank but the snorkel is difficult to fit. I think I am putting it on the wrong bit as it then lays horizontal but your video shows snorkel is vertical. So should I be fitting the snorkel tube so it's upright with the black bit on the top? Can you please show how it is done as the instructions are completely useless.

On what you said david boston if its not blowing air or bubbles phone pets at home and tell them what its not doing right mine done the same they will replace it for you free of charge

I recently got the 24L one from Pets at Home and my pump/filter is not doing this at all! It doesn't flow out any bubbles and is noisy. Is the black part of the unit completely submerged?
