No water or air pumps?
I have a few questions:
– Why do you cover the entire bottom with plants? If you want small shrimp, they need some space to walk around, I think?
– How do you prevent the growth of algae without filter / CO2 system / flow?
– The plants you use look like a random set of beautiful plants, but I can't believe it's just as random as it looks like. Is there any theory about which (type of) plants you need to create a low-maintenance system?
I am very happy you are using natural growth tanks now. I think that is the key to sustainable tank maintenance.

I'm curious. How do these "beneficial bacteria" in a bottle work? Don't they need a certain environment & food to survive? How are they still viable after being in a bottle for weeks or even months?
Is surface agitation not required due to the plants or size of tank?

I've got a 5 gallon tank and am l looking for ideas. All my research is saying basically nothing should go in it because it's too small. A betta is about all. I'm going to try and replicate this one and hope it all goes well

Newbie here. Can I put a betta in a non filtered tank? I read about too many complaints where the Betts is bothered by the filter or even in danger of injury.

Hey guys im new. ill post this question in a few of MDs low-tech tank vids so Ill hopefully get a response. MD said he won't have to do anything once the tank is all settled. does that include feeding fish/snails/shrimp? ive made a similar tank (not as sexy haha) with just shrimp and snails. how often should I be feeding them? (if im using them as cleanup crew).
Here's the thing. I received a 30L tank (my first ever) for my birthday. totally unexpected, so i'm in a fast train these last days to discover everything as fast as possible. Everywhere you look there's these big tanks, lots of fish. And the suggestion that bigger is easier to maintain as a beginner. Seeing this video, relaxed me a lot. I really love the fact that a small 'nano' tank can look so good! Thank you for this. can't wait to get the fish swimming once the tank is ready.

Even a small filter decimates my floating plants
i think u should use cleaning vinegar , instead of other products, but u use all that brands that are thought for aquariums, so i guess thats also an specific aquarium product, isnt it?
