A) children shouldn't attend places where adults want to go.
B) spend many thousands of dollars, get on a plane and visit the London Aquarium because it's much better. Even though I live in Australia, this is shit because the one in London is better? If I was in London, I might consider going to it, but if I'm in Melbourne I should skip this, cancel my holiday plans, jump on a plane to London to visit the aquarium?
As a visitor to Melbourne (presuming London is not on the itinerary) is it worth going?
I think the Gold Coast aquarium might be better. The poor penguins in the wild travel hundreds of miles every day to hunt for fish to bring back to their babies, but they are restricted to that tiny miserable tank. Of course they can only do short bursts of speed. It's cruel.
Cool
Evolution is Gods handiwork. And it was Good.
I didn't see that in 3-D, didn't they give you a set of glasses for the camera ?
Rostrum is the nose
Whingeing pom rob.you can't take him anywhere. The Melbourne show and Blue mountains videos were cool. He didn't whinge MUCh in them. This one was just a whinge fest. Stay home dude , simple…
Being English and complaining about weather in Melbourne,
It's a "shame" that the Crocodile is behind glass ? ! Maybe it's just me but I woulda thought that the glass screen would be a huge benefit .
Totally agree with you both. I never go to the mainland during school holidays. It's the pits. Last time I visited Sea Life the bloody kids just continually elbowed me out of the way. I'm only 148cm tall, most of them were taller than me. So I ended up elbowing them back and told them to wait their turn. Just better not to go then or other peak times. Yes the penguins are awesome. Still a great video. Cheers
Nice one. I haven't been to the Melbourne one yet. I've been to the one in Sydney and Mooloolaba on the Sunshine Coast. The Melbourne one looks awesome with the penguins…
I could stand there all day and watch their penguin display.
I hope your video doesn’t put people off. There’s nothing wrong with it. You’re just used to the bigger one in London.
I care less about the stature of the zoo…
Can I see an animal before it becomes extinct…
As an Australian, it’s near impossible to see a Tassie Devil…
I want to see a panda in the flesh…
I was inspired by Rob rocking out with the penguins…
Don’t want to be judgemental, but I would have thought you’d go to see these places for otherwise animals you might never see.
Aquariums and zoos shouldn’t be a boast off…
How many red kangaroos and koalas have you seen at the much lauded London Zoo…
Seems like most things you're used to in the UK, are better than here via your comparisons. Makes you wonder why so many poms like us, leave there to come to Australia ? We must be mad huh.
PS The kids are acting like excited children 😅 and hopefully you have some too one day, to experience playful kids having a ball.
People from sydney look at Melbourne like an inbred cousin. They have great coffee as they have not much else.
My 9 yo son loves it but I wouldn’t just go as an adult.
I can assure you – if the croc wasn't behind glass – you wouldn't be standing that close 🤣😂🤣
Surprisingly none of the kids recognised the Channel 7 celebrity Swans Supporter~!
Arhhhh, loved the turtles 🐢 and the seahorses. The penguins 🐧 are amazing and so sweet looking after their eggs 🥚 and so graceful in the water compared to when they are waddling around 😂😂 I totally agree Rob…..make the kids wait their turn, they need to be taught that sharing is caring 😂😂😂 Great vlog 😊
Was there anything you liked about Melbourne at all.
See this is why I say you Melbourne overwhelmed you too much …school holidays and kids made everything way too crowded
I have actually been into the penguin enclosure at Melbourne. It does cost quite a bit, but the money goes toward the care of the penguins. My only disappointment was that you could not touch them – you sit behind a plastic barrier and they come up to the barrier if they like (to be fair, it's for their protection – even the keepers don't touch them unless they have to). It's cold and they are very noisy, but it's well worth it. You get a scarf that you can only get from the tour, not purchase, and I bought a stuffed King penguin.
Great choice for your music. Ethereal. And suitable.
I really enjoyed the music you had playing, that went so well with the underwater scenery. Yes the penguins are fascinating to watch as the swim around, they are so graceful. I enjoy watching the sea dragons as well, they are a miracle.
Filming is bloody awesome 🎉🎉🎉🎬📽 stellar . Omg London museums 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 I'm a proud nerd ❤️🔥💃 history passionate, love it! Excellent video young ones 👍.
Kids are short, I know, I'm the same size as most of them, between grade 5 to 6 😁🤏👩👦normal grown-up and me. oooh what fun 👏👏👏👏🎉 I loved the imax theatre in the museum 😁💞.
Cool 😎, I hope you like it, sea world in Queensland 👍👍👍💞.
Penguins are just gorgeous 😍
Apparently, sea horse aren't really horses
When I visited I had to leave I couldn’t handle the noise from a school group it just echoed so badly it drove me crazy
I’m a teacher and usually visit venues like this when there’s a horde of children – either my students on excursions during term time, or with everyone else during school holidays with my family. So the noise of children is my usual backing track. Yours was quite muted. As a child on a rock gathering trip with geologist father, we found a fairy penguin covered in oil. We took it home, cleaned it and took it to Taronga Zoo in Sydney.
I'm sad people are kind of afraid of sting rays now, I always thought they looked so sweet and gentle
Yes , pretty cool
It's funny, because even though you didn't seem to particularly enjoy the aquarium that much, your filming was so good that it was probably the best advertisement I've ever seen for the place. I've been there myself and rather liked it and will probably go back again one day (I live in Melbourne, so it's no big trip). I enjoyed the glow-in-the-dark deep sea creatures, they were fascinating (though probably not so easy to film effectively).
Hi, Charlie and Rob! Enjoyed watching your videos. I was wondering whether there is a package incuding attractions for international travellers both in Sydney and Melbourne. Could you recommend one?
Yep. The aquarium in Melbourne sucks. Always has.
It's probably not the biggest or the best but at least we have one.
It's good to see the local creatures close up.
I enjoyed the aquarium, granted as you said it's more something you see once and that's it. I went there in 2010 when I was in year 8.
I enjoyed seeing the fishes…big and small…and at least you and Charlie got to see penguins 🐧 fairly close up…your videos are really good to watch…😃
It is not something that crosses my mind to visit.
Will watch full video tomorrow (about to sleep), and see if you can change my , almost zero interest in it.
Haven't been to Melbourne aquarium but i've been to the one at Darling Harbour in Sydney (near Madame Tussauds) and the older one in Manly. I've seen the one on the sunshine coast in Qld. That was years ago but I think they were enjoyable! Though aquariums aren't really my thing. I prefer outdoor ocean/beach experiences. I did go to Philip Island years ago and saw the little fairy penguins there. Really cool.🐧
There's so many cool sea experiences you can have in the actual open in Australia. Like tours out to the Great Barrier Reef. Or Ningaloo reef WA.
Yeah September is school holidays time in Australia. Maybe look up when the school holidays are in the states you visit next time, and if possible try and plan your holiday just after they finish.
Great video again. Did u get to use your drone in Australia.
The skin is very smooth – I have touched a BABY crocodile..the stomach that is…the back is rough though. Penguins are super cute 😊Sydney Aquarium is better….
The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne has an aquarium fish tank. Along with Meerkats
It really sucks that the weather has been so crap while you've been here. It isn't typical.
I live in Melb and I agree with you about the aquarium. Best to take the bus trip to Phillip Island for the full on penguin experience.
The best aquarium in Aus, because it’s on the Barrier Reef, is the Reef HQ Aquarium in Townsville.
