If you haven't already, check out my MERCH!!!!! https://teespring.com/stores/maverick-tide?page=1
Very good tutorial
What’s your suggestion for beginners? The hang on the back approach + live rock and whatever else is obviously the simplest and looks the easiest, but in the long run is it more worth it to invest more money and go for an all in one setup or sump setup?
I have a sump and it's my favorite because it adds water volume and allows for a refugium and a skimmer and more!!
I just setup my saltwater tank today, It is a small 10 gallon with a hang on the back filter. Is it bad that I have my filter running as I have the sea salt dissolving? Or is that what you need to do? Also, how long does it take for the fogginess from the salt to go away?
seven years, it has been seven years since I first time watch your video, and remember you ,when will you back the channel. your video is my beginning point of the saltwater trip. Are you still in this field?
Hey I am getting a shark soon so I just the tank and it’s a bamboo shark and I just need the salt water and sand that’s all but we have the tank and I need the stuff like you have thank you I’ll use this when I get my shark have a nice day.
Is there a way to make your aquarium never need a water change again or at least only need it once every few months because I’m going to collage soon and I have anyone responsible enough to do water changes for me
Thank God I Found a normal YouTube
Hi can I ask you I’ve just starting marine just a small one I seem to be getting like tiny shell thing on the rocks I think there coming of the sand are these ok
Cleaning the tank before you add sand and water. Maybe?
Very informative video, thank you for making this.
How long was your cycle
So to start the bacteria/nitrogen cycle I just set it up and let it sit there with no animals for a while? I don’t have to add anything? How long do I let it sit?
DI RO water will actually leach out minerals from the rock and sand as it tries to return to its original mineralized state. Without an inhibiter to stop it, in my opinion ( 35 years of water treatment experience) is a waste of time and money otherwise. with that being said… I have never had a salt water tank so I don't know everything by any stretch. Interesting though that distilled water contains no minerals and is just as clean as if it had gone through the positive and negative and filtration bed ,sometimes more so due to spent resin media. The longer you use it the less well it works. I get distilled water from HEB for less than $2 a gallon and it is .05 micromoles. "Aside from its flat taste, distilled water doesn't provide you with minerals like calcium and magnesium that you get from tap water. Since distilled water doesn't contain its own minerals, it has a tendency to pull them from whatever it touches to maintain a balance" – AHBA LOL
I want clown fish will this be good for them
Could you post more
How much did it cost you. And can you show us how to set up a sump and everything below the tank
What’s the cost and specs of your saltwater tank build brake down?!
I'm about to reef right now… it's too early for work
Wish i saw this before i started my tank :/
How long would you have the lights on for a reef tank like this? I have problem algae so I’m worried that maybe I’m leaving it on too long?
How many products have you tried? that actually does what it says on the box.
RP Aquatics. AMMONIA BLOCK…. boooom…
what a product. lasts 12 WEEKS in filtration.
SAFE START YOUR AQUARIUM. (no chemicals!!)
NO MORE spikes.
NO MORE worrying when Bill is feeding your fish when you go on holiday.
Set up a quarantine tank quickly.
It goes after the biological area so your bacteria gets fed as normal whilst the product prevents excessive ammonia going back into the tank…
INGENIUS.
it lasts 12 weeks so your filter will cycle naturally over 12 weeks. yes guys NO CHEMICALS. 🐟🐬
Newbie here. With water, could you use the stuff you get for drinking?
