Brian Barczyk was a passionate wildlife enthusiast and vlogger who dedicated his life to sharing his extraordinary journey with animals on YouTube since May 10, 2016. In March 2023, Brian faced the greatest challenge of his life with a diagnosis of inoperable Pancreatic Cancer. His strength, courage, and the unyielding support of the incredible #ReptileArmy community inspired him to continue sharing his story and pursuing his dreams, even in the toughest times.
Brian’s vision for the LegaSea Aquarium & The Reptarium, a symbol of resilience and the power of dreams, is now a legacy that his crew and family are devoted to bringing to life in his honor. As we break ground on this expanded facility just across the street from The Reptarium, we embrace this mission as a testament to Brian’s indomitable spirit.

That's the great thing about these videos he gets to see him and get to know him. I only have one picture of my grandmother she passed at 28 years old, and my grandfather died before i was born . as much as it is sad, he gets to look back on those memories and know his grandfather did great things and he will feel the love he shared with the world.

The one time I met Brain. He encouraged me to hold salt. He also encouraged my snake phobic son to get wrapped in one of the big snakes. He was amazing.
Aww, such a lucky lil dude to get to be part of this family. I never knew my grandparents on either side. Of course, I wish I did, but I know I have 4 Angels watching over me. Even though we may not understand why things happen the way they do, just know that Brian is there working his magic through all of you! ❤

I love hearing Brian's voice at the end of every video. It is bittersweet but very calming. I started watching this channel when I was experiencing extreme hardship. Pregnant living on the streets alone most the time. I was scared, anxious and very depressed during this time. This vlog and some others helped me get through the hardest days of my life. My daughter is now 3 years old and has been raised watching and learning from Brian and everyone. She still doesn't understand exactly why he isn't in the videos anymore… Today she is so super excited to see the new addition to the family. She (we) can't wait to meet everyone when we finally take the road trip to The LegaSea. I love you all. I dont know where I'd be today with out Brian and family…

This was a hard hitting video. We are all mourning a man who made us feel like we knew him. I saw someone else say "but your son is also Brian's legacy" that all really hit. Your dad did alot with his life and made all his viewers feel like family.
I really understand what you're feeling. My father passed away in Feb. '95 just 2 months before my daughter was born, he never met any of his grandchildren. It's nice to know your boy will have a place to connect.

Grandma Lori will do the tours and tell alllll the stories of how great grandpa Brian was! cam gets grounded watches 8 hours of grandpa on YouTube 🙂 I know what you mean though, it sucks he’s not here but it’s different and might take getting used to that he can still see his videos and the legacy!

Gaby…you totally make me wish I had gotten a comfy baby carrier when I had babies. Sadly, they weren't very comfortable and had adjustable straps and the straps were webbing. My babies are about to be 38 and 34, so things have definitely changed greatly since then! Welcome to the Legasea little dude….so many wonders await you! God Bless!

I have no doubt that your son will grieve not being able to meet his grandpa. I think, more importantly, he will be so proud of everything Brian accomplished in his life. He will brag to his friends. I cannot wait until the Legasea opens. We live in Oklahoma. I’ve showed these videos to my husband and we both want are going to come. We are using at as an excuse to visit Michigan.
I think this is the first video I have watched since before your Dad's goodbye video. My husband was diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer Jan 2020 at age 34 and this was all so close to home that I still haven't been able to watch that video yet. Brian has been one of my favorite YouTubers and inspirations of all times, and really helped me over the years to get over my fear of snakes. So much so that I actually held the front end of an albino Burmese python at my kids school. I panicked a bit but I did it, and it is all thanks to your Dad! Your little guy has such a legend to look up to and while I am so so so sorry for your loss, from the bottom of my heart, I am so incredibly greatful that he does have the Reptarium and Aquarium plus all of the vids and podcasts so he can truly know his Pop Pop and just how amazing he and your whole family was and is to this day. I am so proud of you and your new little family for taking on so much and so proud of your Mom throughout all of this. My heart goes out to her, even though my husband is still with us, in a way I don't think a lot of people can truly understand unless you have been through or near this type of experience. Lori, I wish I knew what to say to help even just the slightest amount. I do, however, want to let you know just how amazing you are and how much I look up to you as such a strong woman. Even if you may not feel it, I see it in everything you do. I hope to come visit when the Aquarium opens to support you and Brian, the rest of your family and of course the crew in carrying on Brian's vision for not only his family and friends but for everyone who hopes and dreams big.
