I got my fish tank for free and am so excited to set it up, but I do not want them to die. This video is helpful. I feel a bit more prepared as a beginner fishkeeper.
i miss this intro :/ I know intros dont "do well" but i miss em xD I also miss the classic TV credits where all the names shows up first like Star Gates lol
First video I’ve watched , I have love for you already 🎉❤
I’m stressing now cus I already have a fish I win at the fair wich I didn’t think I’ll win in the first place, and now I have it on a container cuss the temporary bowl I got needs to chill a week before putting the fish, now I’m stressing fearing it will die before I could put it in the bowl, the fish bowl is temporary for now, ima try to get a tank in these few days
Yea totally I was given a tank by my uncle and he gave me fish and it was a lot of pressure to leave them in the container longer than necessary feels not so great I still have a lot to get cuz rn all I got it’s the tank, filter, substrate & fish I didn’t even want the fish he gave me but I took them I was admiring his Cory catfish not is mollies & platties
Thanks this is so helpful i just got my new tank today
Not easy, fish always dying, i don't know what I'm doing wrong…😢
Yeah i looked this up haha time to watch the video 😁
tomrrow is my birthday and i.m geting a fish
How did you know I've fallen down the rabbit hole?
Should I cover the camera on my PC?
Thanks for the entertaining and easy to understand videos.
And you were right.
I should have gotten a 10-15 gal tank.
Is this the beginning of multi-tank syndrome?
But I have a 5gal budget for my betta.
I really appreciate you taking the time to educate people so that they can "get it all done correctly the First -Time"! I got a great book called " Freshwater Aquariums For Dummies" because I bought a home with a built-in 55 gallon Aquarium. I learned a lot but you must take the time to read it and you made a great set of videos that truly impressed me. 👌 I love how you explained at the same time with actually
DOING it…..that clears up so many thoughts people might have by only reading about it. The DEMONSTRATION is priceless! 😊 Thanks!
I remember when I had my tanks…40 years ago… there weren't sponge filters. They used a perforated plastic box that usually had a layer of charcoal and filter floss. The box had an air tube like a sponge filter. All pet shops I saw ran their tanks with this unless it was a large tank.
I have had my first 20 gallon for about a year and a half now. I love it. It’s houses tetras, guppies, two African dwarf frogs, two snails, and live plants. I’m enjoying the hobby as well as learning through YouTube videos that are informative and interesting to watch.
Great vid! What's the name of the yellow fish at 5:30? It's stunning
"Well, you've finally stumbled on the last video you'll need to watch"… (several instances later) "we don't have enough time to get into that in detail here, but if you watch this other video…."
55 gallon tank cycling for three weeks. Two of those weeks have had a few fish. Levels have been perfect, but there is no ammonia, no nitrate or nitrite. Should I do a water change ? I don't want to to lose BB, but I also don't want to get a huge spike.
Lol. I've been out of the aquarium hobby for a decade. Brushing up on the basics while I work on setting up my tank
It wasn't really an aquarium it's an outdoor pond I had
Ugh there is so much information…..we have a 29 gal. tank with 4 white skirt tetras and 4 black skirts. We just added 2 albino Cory dorys. Did a 50% water change when our numbers were high about 2 weeks ago and just did another 50% change yesterday. Did a master test today and my numbers are all over the place. Ph 6.6; hiPh 7.8; ammonia is .25; nitrite is 2.0 and nitrate 10. We added conditioner after the change, added a little bacteria. We added 2 live plants today. What are we doing wrong?
At the end you guys really threw me for a loop kinda nervous now….
“Everything you need to know”…except the “super important and critical nitrogen cycle”….”but we don’t have time to talk
About that in this video.” “Watch our 8-part other videos”
